We offer a range of appointments to suit the needs of the practice population. If you work or have to arrange transport, you can book an appointment up to four weeks ahead. Sometimes you may be offered a GP telephone consultation appointment, and if the GP feels he/she needs to see you, he/she will give you an appointment to attend the surgery.
Please let us know if you would like to see a particular doctor and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
If you feel you may be infectious, please inform the receptionist who will arrange for you to wait in a separate room. If you are unwell and have recently returned from West Africa, please stay at home and telephone 111.
Difficulty in obtaining an appointment?
If you have had difficulty in obtaining an appointment, you may be interested to learn that on average there are 80-100 missed appointment with Doctors and Nurses every month. This represents over 13 hours of GP and nurse time and is a waste of NHS resources.
PLEASE either keep your appointment or cancel it in good time to enable us to offer it to someone else.
If you need to be seen urgently, you will be offered an appointment the same day. There may not be a choice of doctors.
We try to avoid patients having to wait more than 20 minutes for their GP appointment to start. However this is sometimes unavoidable. Our GPs will always try to deal with all your problems at one appointment if they can, but if you have more than one problem to discuss, it would be a considerable help to let your GP know at the start of the consultation in order for them to prioritise the problems.
Telephone Consultations with doctors or nurses
You can book a telephone consultation appointment with a doctor or practice nurse who will then call you back on a convenient telephone number. Please be aware if you book a telephone appointment, this will be within a 2 hours time slot.
Children under 16 years old
Children under 16 should be accompanied by a parent or adult. However, there may be times when they wish to see a GP alone. Please note that we need a parent’s signed consent form for immunisations and minor surgery.
Please let us know if you would like a chaperone to be present at your consultation at the time of booking.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Whilst you are in our care or visiting our premises you have the right to expect courtesy and consideration from our staff and from other patients and visitors, and they have the right to expect the same courtesy and consideration from you.
